About Me​

My Story

An important foundation to my Forensic work is my extensive experience as a clinician. I began my work over 30 years ago at Mid Missouri Mental Health Center (now known as University of Missouri Psychiatric Center), a State owned and operated acute care psychiatric hospital.

In 1999 I started to expand on my clinical work with additional training as a Forensic Psychologist.  Since 1999 I have completed well over 2200 evaluations in criminal cases and have supervised an additional 500 evaluations of those I trained.  I have been involved in a wide variety of cases from misdemeanors to Capital Murder Cases.  Over that time I have testified over 160 times in depositions, hearings, and trials.

I want to provide you with forensic conceptualizations that are based on a framework of solid evidence garnered from a variety of sources and based on relevant research. The information I provide will help you make informed strategy decisions for your clients.

  • Doctorate Counseling Psychology. Indiana State University, Terre Haute, Indiana. APA approved program. August 1991 to December 1996.
  • Masters Counseling Psychology. University of Missouri at Columbia. May 1987 to August 1989. Additional coursework including group practicum and theory August 1989 to May 1990.
  • Bachelors Psychology. Minor in Anthropology. University of Missouri at Columbia. August 1983 to May 1987.
